The dark animal was showing its teeth. It didn't want to be touched. So I let it be. Instead I saw a bigger picture. Starting with a city. A system of streets does not meet the increasing demand for transport. The mechanism of life within a city is becoming more and more complex. Sleeping, working, spending. And moving around a lot. City became bigger and more packed, balloon full of water. The underground system was conceived to take away the pressure of commuting. To make it fast. It was created to be efficient, not to be an experience. Nevertheless it became an experience. An inspiration to many artist, an indispensable blood system to the citizens. It became an organism on it's own, with inhabitants who call it home, with people who call it work. It developed it's own aesthetic, it's own rules for social behaviors. It almost became an independent world.
A step further. What is the organism that will grow out of that? If city conceived subway, what will subway conceive? Suddenly a picture of parasite growing on a network appeared.
What could be invading the underground world, now only reserved for transport. Humans need light. Humans need surface. Do they? Entertainment factory sucked to the tentacles of the underground. A home attached to the train as a last wagon. Office with the trains passing through. Something that would live within the landscape that metro created down below. City structures that would enjoy a powerful view of trains rushing by, rivers of bodies flowing. A real time show of moving people. New countryside. New Wild West to conquer.
