We have spend last two weeks in Pittsburgh, working with the whole team (Auke Touwslager, Murray Horne, Janez Jazbar, Ales Vrhovec, Robert Unetich, Dick Campbell & the local production team) on installation and fine-tuning of our first permanent outdoor public space installation.

We are very thankful to The Cultural Trust of Pittsburgh who has commissioned us the piece, in particular to Murray Horne - curator of the Wood Street Galleries who supported us even when going through the toughest technical development problems. With this installation we have been able to explore many challenges and with the help of Robert we got even deeper submerged in the beautiful word of RF.

Special thanks to engineers the Robert, Janez & Ales for their knowledge and enthusiasm.

I have designed another CD for the female chamber choir Čarnice. This CD concludes a project with conductor Sebastjan Vrhovnik, bringing the thematically rounded selection of Romantic Era compositions (including the complete opus of F.B Mendelssohn for female choir) and several live recordings from concerts and competitions.

Vokalna akademija Ljubljana has asked me to design their first CD. I have decided to try generate some nice patterns using the Chladni plate. It was a lot of fun and the design came out pretty nice.

The Cultural trust of Pittsburgh commissioned us a large scale public space installation for their new open air gallery behind Benedum Centre for Performing Arts.

The Cell Phone Disco piece for The Franklin Institute instantly became one of the most admired exhibits of the electricity hall.
AOL travel even featured Cell Phone Disco as one of the 16 images of Philadelphia - next to Liberty Bell, Rittenhouse Square & Philadephia Museum of Art.

The production of the CPD piece for the new permanent exhibition at the Franklin Institute is finished! Improved electronics, wonderful density of (3888!) sensors and a surface of 3.6 by 4.8 meters. The crate has already arrived to the States. We are traveling with Auke to Philadelphia next month to set it up. More pictures are following soon!

The new RIS portal is live! The European Union has set up an Europe-wide framework for the implementation of the RIS concept. The framework aims at ensuring compatibility and interoperability between RIS systems at European level and achieving effective interaction between different information services on waterways.

Megla designed the graphic identity for the RIS project, including derivative identities for the expert groups and the overall design of the portal.

The team consisted of

Auke Touwslager (Informationlab) - coordination, consultancy and information architecture
